Judging Meet

Select cars are judged according to NCRS standards.  This is a fun and very rewarding event, both for the owner of the car being judged and for the judges themselves.  Owners striving for originality on their cars have the opportunity to know what is right and/or wrong with their car.  Judging at the Chapter level is much lower-key than Regional or National judging, and it is a great way to get your feet wet with NCRS judging.  Whether you are striving for a Top Flight, or just want to know your car better, Flight Judging is a great experience.

Chapter, Regional and National Meets and the awards presented at these meets are solely for the hobby purpose. Judging recognizes owners who have preserved or restored their Corvettes to factory original appearance and function. The main purpose of judging is to share information and encourage the continued preservation of the history and heritage of the Corvette.  NCRS Flight Judging is currently available for 1953 - 1986 Corvettes, with 1987-1989 Corvettes to be added soon.

For more details on NCRS Flight Judging, you can either browse the NCRS National website, or click here to jump directly to the judging awards page on the National site.

Judging School

In judging school sessions, experienced judges show those people who would like to begin judging or who would like to know more about judging what to look for and how to 'grade' the various pieces for originality and condition (in Flight Judging) or correct operation (in Performance Verification judging).

Tech Session

At Technical Sessions we get our hands dirty.  These are usually conducted at a members house (or friendly shop) around work done on the restoration, repair, or general maintenance of a member's Corvette.  In past Tech Sessions we have dropped and replaced the rear-end on a '65, lifted the body off a '57, and replaced the rear main seal on a '65.  If you're a member, this is also a GREAT way to get a few extra hands to help out with that 'big' job (every try lifting the body off the frame by yourself?).

Junkyard Runs

Looking for that hard to find part?  Then a Junkyard Run may be just the ticket.  At a Junkyard Run, members meet at a local scrap yard and begin scouring the yard for that perfect (albeit slightly used) part.  Members come prepared with books that cross-reference part numbers across the entire GM product line, so you can get the correct part you need, even if it happens to be on a Buick!

Night at the Pavilions

This is a 'fun show' night.  No judging.  No greasy work.  No dirty junkyards.  Just cars.  LOTS of them.  If you haven't been to the Pavilions in Scottsdale (at the 101 and Indian Bend Road), then you have been missing one of the largest weekly gatherings of sports, antique, classic, late model, and special interest cars in the country.  And there is nothing finer to see at the Pavilions than a continuous line of gleaming Corvettes!  For these shows the Pavilions sets aside a special parking area for local clubs, and the Arizona Chapter of the NCRS reserves it several times a year to show off our cars.

Monthly Chapter Meeting

The Arizona Chapter of the NCRS holds its monthly meeting on the 3rd Saturday of each month.  We try and combine our monthly meetings with a chapter event at the same time.  The current schedule, with locations, dates, and times for the meetings and events can be found here.
