GM 1962-1975 Corvette Delivery Data

With permission granted by the General Motors Heritage Center, the National Corvette Restorers Society is pleased to announce that it can now offer solely to its members, certain information contained in 1962 after number 6000 through 1975 (within this group a small amount of information is not available) Corvette Month Car Shipped Reports. The ordering information will be available at our new Documentation Services website at www.NCRS.org/services.html. The new website will be activated on October 1st to accept orders.
The first service is the CORVETTE SHIPPING DATA REPORT. The information consists of the dealer code, dealer name, dealer address and the date the car was produced. The good news is this should allow you to find the original dealer where your Corvette was sold and possibly open the door to finding more information about your Corvette. A letter containing the information you request will be mailed to your NCRS address on record.
The second service is the CORVETTE DOCUMENT VALIDATION. NCRS will compare any of your GM documents to the GM records contained in the Shipping Report and if verification can be achieved, will establish the authenticity of your factory documents. Unfortunately, the shipping report does not contain the vehicle options. A letter containing the information you request will be mailed to your NCRS address on record.
Information is available for 1962, after number 6000, to 1975 with some small groups of missing information. Only requests made by an NCRS member in good standing will be honored. The cost for either report is $40, to reimburse NCRS for time incurred to research the request against the GM records and provide appropriate response. Some records may not be obtainable due to damaged/missing files or physical condition of your documents. Further information may not be retrievable from a Chevrolet Dealer, e.g. failure to archive records or termination of the Dealership. Please don't enter cars that do not fall into this time frame. If and when more data is obtained it will be advertised and everyone will have a chance to find the information available for their car.
Corvette Shipping Data Report1.Visit the NCRS Historic Document Services website www.NCRS.org/services.html 2.Have the following info ready: your NCRS Membership Number; your ZIP Code (or Postal Code for outside the U.S.); Model year and VIN of the Corvette; and your Visa/MasterCard/PayPal info for payment. 3.NCRS will return the shipping information pertaining to that Corvette VIN which will include: the Chevrolet Dealer Code for the delivering dealer, the Chevrolet Dealer Name, and the exact date of production for your Corvette. |
Corvette Document Validation Service1.Visit the NCRS Historic Document Services website www.NCRS.org/services.html 2.Have the following info ready: your NCRS Membership Number; your ZIP Code (or Postal Code for outside the U.S.); Model year and VIN of the Corvette; and your Visa/MasterCard/PayPal info for payment. 3.Make quality color copies of the factory paperwork. Send the COPIES to Roy Sinor, NCRS National Judging Chairman. Please DO NOT send any originals! 4.NCRS will return confirmation that your paperwork does or does not agree with the information in GM’s records. |
