Return Your Corvette to Original Condition
Hands-On Restoration Procedures
The author managed Eckler’s Corvette service center (and his own restoration shop) and that’s where the strength of this book lies. Chris Petris has some very nice things to say about the NCRS and our publications as he goes through the process of restoring a Midyear - it's appreciated!
The book contains much commentary on what the NCRS and Bloomington Gold organizations are looking for in a restored Corvette and most is valid. It was just published, but some info is dated. The author correctly writes about the value and importance of original Chevrolet documentation (and the presence of fakes), but doesn’t mention our NCRS Documentation Service, started several years ago (www.NCRS.org/services.php) that can confirm authenticity.
It’s a good book that outlines and provides great detail about the many tasks that go into restoring a Midyear. It also features many NCRS members and member-owned companies. Pick up a copy.
