25th NCRS Anniversary Issue of the RestorerThe Corvette Restorer: 25th Anniversary Edition

Another Blast from the Past!

This “book” (with the cool 25th logo embossed cover) is technically a back issue of The Corvette Restorer magazine. Members received this as Volume 26 #1, Summer, 1999.
It was edited by then National Judging Chairman, Dennis Clark with design by our current Corvette Restorer Editor, Vinnie Peters. The book celebrated NCRS’s first 25 years by detailing how it all started and the major accomplishments over the years. Just like the National Corvette Museum book that we recently unearthed - it’s fun to read and reminisce if you were there, and it’s a great way to learn how the Corvette restoration hobby developed if you weren’t. If we still have some remaining after Christmas, 2009- we’ll dig them out in another 10 or so years! Please get your copy while they are still available!

National Corvette Museum Commemorative Book

The Official National Corvette Museum Commemorative Book Unavailable for MANY Years!
The National Corvette Museum recently celebrated their 15th Anniversary in style by opening a huge new addition. It’s changed just a bit from the “Museum Annex” days in the strip mall down the road at the Bowling Green exit. They have definitely moved on to bigger and better things, although I really miss the old G.D. Ritzy’s restaurant!

This was originally published by NCRS member and Shark Quarterly Editor Wayne Ellwood way back when at the museum’s opening.

Topics include: What is the Corvette?; The Heroes; Building a Museum; Construction Begins; The Grand Opening; The Cars Become the Stars; and People You Might See. For members who were there- it’s a great way to reminisce.
For those who weren’t- it’s a great way to learn.

A little history and context and a lot of nice photos. Softbound, 176 pages and over 200 photos- many in color.

New ItemThe Corvette Factories

50 Years Development

This book’s early marketing materials said that the book “offered a glimpse into the only two facilities to ever produce Corvettes”. Happily, our advance copy of the book arrived and they do make reference to the 1953’s being built in Flint, Michigan. All is well. This book takes you from Corvette’s beginning with hand-laid fiberglass body components, through to the ultra-high tech systems in use today at the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant. Lots of photos from GM’s archives. Hardcover, 192 pages with 150 color photos and 150 black/white.
