Biography
Gilbert is a long time Texas Chapter member and member of the Oklahoma Chapter.

Gilbert was past NCRS President, past Vice President and past Region VII Regional Director. Gilbert was the Event Manager for several Texas Chapter Regional events and the 2001 Galveston National Convention. Gilbert was also a key coordinator of all the NCRS Judges Training events.

Gilbert was instrumental in developing the NCRS Foundation program and scholarships.

Gilbert participated in many NCRS and Texas Chapter Road Tours.
 
Gilbert’s 1984 Corvette was the first Crossed Flags 5th Star Award recipient. Gilbert restored his 1956 Corvette himself and received both Duntov and Founders Awards with his 1956.
 
Gilbert proudly displayed his "OU NCRS" license plate on his red C7 Corvette. Boomer Sooner
