Biography
It is with great sadness that I share the the news of the passing of one of our most passionate and revered members, Rick Boyd.  Rick, alias The Boydster,  was a true "dyed in the wool" car nut, whose interests included muscle cars, hot rods and of course, Corvettes.  While studying mechanical engineering at General Motors Institute, he began to amass his collection of highly collectible/desirable Corvette models, a passion that would last Rick for his entire lifetime.

Employed by Rochester Products (eventually Delphi) Rick was the consummate carburetor and fuel injection expert.  He was always willing to share his expertise with anyone who had issues with their cars and restoration projects, and engineer's engineer who could explain the "workings of the clock as well as the time".   His talent and friendship will be sorely missed by all of us who would call him for advise and consultation.

The Boydster fought a silent battle with cancer in various forms for about five years.  Throughout this period he never dwelled on his ailments or complained about his condition; his steadfast focus remained on completing another project or addressing another of the limitless tasks that remained undone in his extensive collection of rolling artwork.
  April 16, 1950 - March 29, 2016

Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to his wife Candy and their daughter, Laura.
