Biography
It is with a heavy heart that we pass along the news of my friend and  longtime NCRS member #18920, Lael Huffstutler, passing away.
She was 84 and had a long full life. These last few years she had a couple of medical issues that kept her homebound and of course Covid didn’t help her get out and mingle.
Those that knew Lael, knew she had 3 passions: Corvettes, cats and Alabama football. Being an original owner of a 67coupe was quite an accomplishment especially being a single female. She took that car all over the country to get her Duntov and her Red Hat. She was definitely one of a kind.
Her other passion was rescuing cats. She was a great benefactor to the non profit, Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue in Hoover, Ala and thanks to her generosity, cats will have a safe place for many years to come.
Lael was a unique individual and I only hope somewhere along the way you were able to meet her and enjoy her big smile, that big laugh and her southern charm. She touched the hearts of all who knew her.
No public arrangements will be made. If you wish to make a monetary donation in her name to the NCRS Foundation or Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue, I am sure she will be smiling down on you.
