Sheila Nicholl was a long time Texas Chapter Member. Sheila served as secretary and co-editor of the Texas Chapter Talepipe Newsletter in the late 1980's.
Sheila and Carl purchased their first Corvette together in 1971, a 1965 L78 Nassau Blue convertible in which Sheila taught herself to drive a 4-speed. She drove this car to work daily for 2 years in all types of weather until Carl bought her a 1969 T-Top Corvette and the '65 was parked.
Sheila and Carl attended their first NCRS convention in Copper Mountain Colorado in 1984 joining the road tour in Amarillo in the '65.
Sheila participated in many car related events including Bloomington, NCCC events, NHRA events and Hot Rod Magazine Power Tours. Sheila posted her best time of 13.38 @ 108.22 at Bandimere Speedway June 1, 2003 in a 1969 GTX.
Sheila is the only reason the 1965 Corvette she found in 1971 along with her last daily driver a 1998 Nassau Blue Corvette are still in the family.
