Loving husband and best friend, father, grandfather, son and brother passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at The Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 62 years. Son of John and Patricia (Gerard) Gorney, Mark was born August 7, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan. He received a Master’s Degree at Central Michigan University while working as a pattern maker at G.M. Saginaw Metal Castings for 41 years retiring in 2013. Mark married Lori L. Krawczak on October 19, 1985. She survives him. Mark was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. He was master judge for National Corvette Restorer Society and was a corvette enthusiast. He was also a member of the Saginaw Township Board of Trustees.
Surviving besides his wife Lori are two sons, Eric and Jennifer Gorney and their children, Jace and Bryce, Hawaii; Aaron Gorney, California; his parents, John and Patricia Gorney, Hemlock; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Barbara Krawczak, Bridgeport; one sister, Luanne Jannarone and her companion, Mike Snodgrass, Arizona; one brother, Paul and Paula Gorney, Freeland; a sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ray Deal, Texas; Margie and Rick Bachula, Bridgeport; Gerry and Bonnie Krawczak, Birch Run; many nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Deal.
