Five (5) NCRS Road Tours are planned to converge on the 2024 National Convention location in Hampton Roads, VA. The road tour leaders are busy planning and promise to make it a memorable drive. Tenative plans, places of interest and stops are described below. Make sure you register early and pick the tour you want to participate in. Register online when the convention registration opens or use the mail in application for the road tour. Detailed information for routes and lodging will be provided to each member after you have registered for the Road Tour.
The Last Night Out Reception will be held at the host hotel, the Embassy Suites in Hampton. Rooms will be available at the host hotel for Saturday August 3rd. These rooms can be reserved at the convention rate. Of note! Register early as rooms and convention events fill up fast!!

It is prefered you register online for the road tour when making your convention registration. However, we again have a paper form if you wish to register by mail. Remember there is an additional fee for mail in registrations.
Canadian Road Tour: Kay & Scott Sinclair
Starting out from Bolton, ON, on Tuesday, July 30th: Head east through central Ontario, then south to the north shore of Lake Ontario. Possible boat cruise through the Thousand Islands. Overnight in Brockville, ON. Approx. 240 miles. Wednesday, July 31st: Cross into the US at Ogdensburg, NY, then through the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, including Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid. We’ll follow Lake Champlain south to the Lake George area, then near Albany, NY, for overnight. Approx. 255 miles. Thursday August 1st: After checking out Albany, we’ll head southwest through the Catskill Mountains into the Poconos of Pennsylvania. Overnight in Reading, PA. Approx. 300 miles. Friday August 2nd: We’ll visit the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, PA, then head southwest through Lancaster, York and Gettysburg to overnight in Front Royal, VA. Approx. 210 miles. Saturday, August 3th: Just south of Front Royal, we’ll drive the Skyline Drive for about 30 miles, then head east to Mechanicsville, VA, for lunch with our sponsor, Zip Corvette. Approx. 150 miles, then another 75 miles to the Last Night Out in Hampton, VA.
Central Pennsylvania Road Tour: Led by Gary and Andrea Dukeman
The Central Pa NCRS Road Tour will start on Wednesday, July 31st at the Dover international race track. Drive the track and see Museum. Travel to Annapolis and tour Naval Academy and spend the night in Annapolis. On August 1st we will travel in the area of Mt Vernon, and Fredericksburg spending the night in the Historic District of Fredericksburg Va. The next day, August 2nd we will travel to the Richmond area touring on the way, and spend the night in Richmond, Va. On Saturday August 3rd we will stop at Zip Products in Mechanicsburg for lunch and continue to Hampton, VA in time for the Last Night Out.
Mid-Atlantic Road Tour: Led by Steve Gansky
The Mid-Atlantic tour will begin July 16th in Scranton, PA and continue through the afternoon of July 22nd ending at the French Lick Resort (convention location).
The tour will include stops at the National Soaring Museum, Corning Museum of Glass, Glen H. Curtis Museum, Niagara Falls, Auburn, Cord, Dusenberg Auto Museum, National Museum of the USAF, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Come join us!
Northwest Road Tour: Led by Mike Doty
The Northwest Tour for 2024 should be called the Northeastern Tour. I will be arriving in Philadelphia, PA, July 31st, and starting my tour from there. Depending on the interest of potential tour participants we will make some stops in the area and possibly link up with the Mid- Atlantic and Central Pa. Tours. Contact me if you have an interest in driving to the event and you will be in the area.
Texas Road Tour Led by John Howell:
The Texas road tour to the 2024 National Convention will begin Monday morning, July 29th leaving from Texarkana, TX. We will head east toward Hampton Roads, VA traveling through the states of AR, TN, KY, and VA. Preliminary plans are to spend nights in Jonesboro, AR, Clarksville, TN, Bowling Green, KY, Kingsport, TN, and then on to Hampton Roads, VA. I am looking for points of interest along the way and seriously considering another hot laps experience at the NCM Motorsports Complex. Further details will be provided once I have them.

All NCRS Road Tours will travel to the “Last Night Out” event. Details to be provided as they are finalized.
You must be an NCRS member to register and participate in these Road Tours. Proof of liability insurance must be sent with your registration showing insurance in effect during the tour dates. All cars must be properly registered, licensed and insured to operate on public highways. Hotel and general route information will be sent upon registration. You will receive Road Tour Hotel information in response to your Road Tour registration and payment.
