All the Texas folks can meet and start the tour in Greenville, TX, just northeast of Dallas. Plans are to generally follow I-30 east to I-40 east to Asheville, NC, about 950 miles.
Our first stop for the night would be Hot Springs, AR. Our second night stop would be Jackson, TN. Third night somewhere around Kingston, TN. Then the drive from the Kingston area to Asheville should be short and through the mountains.
Hope to see Hot Springs AR. Jackson, TN has the Casey Jones railroad museum. And I'm sure I can find something of interest south of Knoxville.
